Ask any gamer out there and without a doubt, they'll say that GTA 6 is the most anticipated game right now. Although the release date is unknown, there are a few things we know about the GTA 6 maps, and characters, and more.

If you're way too excited to get your hands on the game and can't seem to wait, you might want to read on as we're digging deep into everything we know about the game so far. Keep in mind, many of the details are still kept under wraps so what we'll share are mostly from leaks, trailers, and speculations.

Since the game is still months away, you might want to check out Gamerall. We've got affordable game keys to choose from. We've got enough deals to keep you busy till GTA 6 arrives.

Release Date And Confirmed Platforms

GTA 6 was officially planned to launch on Fall 2025. However, the GTA 6 release date has been pushed back and it's now a more specific May 26, 2026. The game is still months away but at least we now know when it will actually launch.

As for the platforms, the game is slated to be made available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. With the size of the game, it's unlikely that we'll be seeing this on the Nintendo Switch 2. For now, the minimum and recommended requirements for the game haven't been revealed yet.

If you're worried about the delay, try not to think about it too much as the published notes that another delay is unlikely.

GTA 6 Map Leaks

One of the best things we know about the game right now is that we're making a return to Vice City. If you're not familiar, this GTA setting is based in Miami. This time around, the map will be much bigger as it will extend to the surrounding countryside.

The expansion will bring you to places like the swamplike Everglades and more. The map of the GTA games continue to become bigger and bigger as Rockstar masters their craft with each entry. While we don't know how big the next map will be, we do know that it's going to be bigger than San Andreas in GTA 5.

Many of what we know about the game's setting is based off of the 90-second teaser trailer. Eagle-eyed players were able to break down every second. Here are a few things we know about it.

  • Vice Dale County
    • Shown on sheriff's badge in Mega Noticias' newscast.
    • Likely represents Miami-Dade County, including Vice City and some nearby areas.

    • Likely represents Monroe County (Everglades region, southwest of Miami).
    • Likely tied to Monroe County.
    • Trailer shows road signs pointing from Vice City (southeast) toward southwest swampland.

Possible Landmarks

  • NINE1NINE / E11EVEN
    • Plane banner shows "NINE1NINE."
    • Likely a nod to E11EVEN, Miami's 24/7 ultraclub.

General Map Layout (based on clues)

  • Southeast → Vice Dale County (Vice City).
  • Southwest → Kelly County (Everglades-inspired).
  • Northwest → Leonard County (towns, prison, rural areas).
  • All regions form Leonida, Rockstar's fictional version of Florida.

Unconfirmed but Hinted Map

  • GTA 6 key art may show a draft map of southeast Florida on a pinboard.
  • Appears to include Miami Beach-like mainland area.
