Overview

Battle Brothers: Blazing Deserts expands the acclaimed tactical turn-based RPG by introducing a vast southern region to the world map. This DLC adds a completely new cultural environment inspired by the Arabian Nights, featuring unique city-states, desert terrain, and challenging new factions. Players must navigate the complex political landscape of these southern lands, where gunpowder weapons, alchemical concoctions, and ferocious beasts await. Please note that this expansion requires the base game, Battle Brothers, to play. Whether you are a veteran commander or a newcomer to the mercenary life, Blazing Deserts provides a significant depth of content that tests your strategic prowess and resource management skills in an unforgiving, sun-drenched landscape.

Key Features

  • Explore the Southern Sands: Journey into a massive new region featuring unique city-states with their own laws, traditions, and political agendas.
  • New Factions and Enemies: Face off against exotic desert creatures and southern armies that utilize entirely different combat tactics.
  • Advanced Weaponry: Master the use of primitive gunpowder weapons, including hand cannons and fire pots, to gain an edge on the battlefield.
  • New Origins: Start your campaign with fresh backgrounds, such as the Gladiator, the Beast Slayer, or the Southern Mercenary.
  • Dynamic Ambitions: Engage with new, long-term goals that reshape your mercenary company’s reputation and capabilities.
  • Expanded Crafting: Utilize new alchemical recipes and crafting materials to create powerful gear and consumables.
  • Immersive Soundtrack: Experience an all-new musical score specifically composed to capture the atmosphere of the southern desert.

New Content and Gameplay

Blazing Deserts transforms the core Battle Brothers experience by introducing non-linear political consequences and specialized combat mechanics. The addition of the southern city-states forces players to adapt their strategies; you are no longer just a mercenary roaming the northern wilderness, but a player in the complex geopolitical struggles of a desert empire. The introduction of gunpowder and alchemical items adds a new layer to turn-based combat, requiring players to rethink their positioning and defensive formations. As you build your company, the decisions you make regarding your interactions with the southern lords will have lasting impacts on your economy, your access to exclusive gear, and the types of contracts available to you. Dive into this challenging expansion and prove that your company can survive the heat of the desert.
